Seagal allowed Gene to attempt to choke him out which he did. They never fought. Steven Seagal supposedly thought that he could not be choked out. As for those who think it's b.s. take some classes and then tell me what you think. I've been taking it for a little bit now and it teaches balance, timing, harmonious blending with an attack and doesn't require you to be stronger than your opponent. The techniques are not easy but once learned they are far from being b.s.!!!

Akido is the preferred martial arts amongs bouncers and doormen worldwide - and these guys have to deal with all kinds of attacks (shot for a leg or otherwise) and its the quickest and fastest way to disable an opponent without killing them. Yeah you can talk kung fu being far better - yeah i agree but thats if you'd prefer killing a guy with a flick of your wrist. Akido was invented for one thing - disarming and disabling and its the most effective martial arts on the planet at doing this.

lincbasket: I totaly agree with you. Steven Seagal owns and Gene LeBell simply got lucky in that fight. If they had a rematch Seagal would most likely win.
